Demolition of the Former Matalan Store in Leicester
We’re pleased to share that we have begun the demolition of the former Matalan store in Leicester.
This site, which has stood vacant since its closure in January 2023, is now set for redevelopment by The Hornbeam Partnership, described as a “unique opportunity to regenerate an underperforming site.”
The plans include 129 one-bedroom, 89 two-bedroom, and 4 three-bedroom homes, with landscaped surroundings, private outdoor spaces, and a pedestrian walkway linking Church Gate and Blake Street.
Our scope of works includes:
– Careful hand removal of all non-licensed asbestos
– A full soft strip of the property
– Responsible removal of all arisings and materials from site
This appointment is a testament to the trust our clients place in us, and we’ll ensure the clearance is handled with the utmost care and respect for the surrounding urban environment.
