TRD appointed as demolition contractor for Glossop Fire Station
We’re proud to be supporting the Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service Capital Construction Programme with the demolition of the former 1970s Glossop Fire Station on Whitfield Park.
This marks the first stage in delivering a brand new, £4.8m fire station that will be more energy efficient, carbon conscious, and fit for the needs of a modern fire and rescue service.
Our role includes safely clearing the existing site to make way for the new build, which will feature state of the art facilities, including a cold smoke search and rescue training building and a linked garage block for moorland firefighting vehicles.
We’re delighted to play our part in preparing the ground for this important investment in Glossop’s community and firefighters.
