Specialist works at Nottingham Guildhall
We’re pleased to confirm that we are carrying out specialist works at Nottingham Guildhall, one of the city’s most iconic Grade II listed buildings. Built in 1887 – 1888 in a striking French Renaissance Revival style, the Guildhall has served many roles over the decades, including the city’s courts, police station, and even fire station. It has stood vacant since 2010, and now begins a new chapter.
TRD have been appointed to deliver a package of complex works across the site, including:
• Asbestos removal and soft strip throughout all areas within the site boundary
• Demolition of the Guildhall Extension Building
• Removal of 2 x link bridge structures
• Demolition of the former Fire Brigade Drill Tower
• Full segregation of arising materials and removal to a licensed waste recycling facility
Working on a building with this level of history and architectural significance requires precision and care, and we’re delighted to play a part in preparing the Guildhall for its next phase.
